Dearly Beloved Client and Critters,

Dr.  McIntyre sustained a massive injury to her right knee while treating a horse that had previously experienced an extreme training trauma and required her examination.  The horse unfortunately, despite sedation, completely exploded and violently kicked her knee.  She will be in a full leg non-weight bearing brace for 5 weeks and then undergo surgery with a minimum 6 week recovery after that procedure.  At that time, she will be able to help canine and feline patients but will take longer to be strong enough to do equine patients.

We are writing to inform you that our practice will be operating on limited hours, ie Tuesday and Thursday from 9a-5pm, for the next three months.  During this time Corrin Stealey, will answer messages, fill supplement/herbal prescriptions, do laser treatments, schedule phone consultations with Dr. McIntyre, schedule Rehab with Annie and forward medical records to receiving practices that can take care of your animals.  We can continue to provide phone consultation on herbs/treatments plans with Dr. McIntyre and Annie will continue to do canine rehabilitation, conditioning, laser and massage services.  Below is a list of clinics that could meet your animal’s needs for acupuncture, chiropractic, and laser while Dr. McIntyre is recovering. Note that some of these clinics may have added treatment modalities that we are unaware of so feel free to ask them.  (Key: SA=small animal, EQ=equine, ALL=EQ and SA, and VOM=chiropractic like orthopedic manipulation with an activator).

Dr. McIntyre apologizes for any increased burden her incapacitation causes to you and your animals.  She will make sure medical record requests are forwarded on Tuesdays and Thursdays to other veterinarians caring for your animals.  She will be happy to speak to practitioners directly with whom your animals are in treatment.  She has emailed all veterinary practices with her personal cell phone so that practitioners may reach her every day of the week with questions.  Clients can continue to contact the clinic directly, 541-312-2360, and can set up phone consultations with Dr. McIntyre via Corrin on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Thank you for your time and cooperation.  We will miss all of your smiling faces, wagging tails and neighs. We will do everything in our power to facilitate your animal getting appropriate care in our temporary absence.  Your animal’s care is our priority.

On an exciting note, Dr. McIntyre is communicating with a seasoned Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal, Chiropractic, Ozone, Prolotherapy, Bemer, etc veterinarian who may be joining our team this spring.  We are hoping after this period of inconvenience and interruption that upon return, we can take even better care of your animal.  We are all hoping this will come to fruition.  Check our facebook page for more regular updates.
